mmmmm, garlic!

i tell a funny story sometimes... it goes something like this:

i love garlic, and have never really been ashamed to enjoy it. until this one fateful day when i went to happy hour with friends (heather/marcy) and we ordered a hummus platter. well, no big deal... we're eating and drinking and chatting... until all of a sudden heather says 'um, christine, did you eat that whole pile of garlic???' the answer, of course, was yes.

you have to understand that this was an accident. in no way would i have planned for this.

what came next was even more unfortunate. we went to a movie.

well let me just tell you, everyone in that entire movie theater must have been like 'who the heck is the stinky girl in the front? hello!?'

well, i stunk for days.... didn't matter how many showers i took or how many times i brushed my teeth, the garlic was oozing out of me.

so, i've been more careful in recent years, but i still LOVE garlic :)

so, with that nice little warning, let me tell you about a
super easy appetizer you'll want to make once a week... ROASTED GARLIC!

directions
preheat oven to 250 degrees
cut the top off of one whole bundle of garlic cloves
drizzle with olive oil and salt and pepper
wrap in foil and place on a baking tray
bake about 20 minutes or until the outside is lightly brown and the cloves feel soft
squeeze out the cloves and enjoy on a nice cracker or toasted slices of bread. AMAZING.
enjoy!
