thanksgiving staples

today is your lucky day.
i am going to share my mom's famous turkey recipe.

and by 'my mom's' i really mean that she stole it from 
cooking light in 2005 and has been making it for years.
and by 'famous' i really mean that it's delicious and perfect.

additionally, i want to share a new stuffing recipe

mashers, green beans and stuffing are my favorite things every thanksgiving.
and i love the classic recipes.

this stuffing was delish.
classic with all the right flavors and consistency.


ingredients
1 stick butter
2 cups diced onions
2 cups diced celery
1 teaspoon minced sage
1 teaspoon minced thyme
salt & pepper
3 cups chicken broth
2 eggs
1/4 cup parsley
16 cups of french bread

directions

1. cube french bread until you have 16 cups.
toast on a baking sheet at 300 degrees until crunchy and golden.
stir frequently.

2. melt butter in large skillet over medium heat.
add onions, celery, sage, thyme and a couple pinches of salt and pepper.
cook for 5 minutes. add chicken broth and bring to a simmer.

3. beat 2 eggs with parsley in a large bowl.
add bread cubes. pour in broth & veggie mixture and gently toss.


4. transfer to a butter baking dish.
cover and bake 30 minutes at 375 degrees.
uncover and bake until golden, 30 more minutes.
