grilled chicken and peaches

you guys. i have a problem.
at my recent physical the doctor tells me my blood came back
too high in iron that she wants me to stop taking my supplements.
supplements??! look at me - i don't take supplements! LOL!

so, what do i do?
i read everything i can find on the internet about this new found health problem i have.
do you know what foods are high in iron? spinach, kale, chickpeas, broccoli, nuts, red meat...
needless to say, this is really cramping my style.
the silver lining? i am learning lots about the food you put in your body.

this is a recent simple favorite.
and the best thing i've made from the simply real health cookbook
great for a last minute 4th of july BBQ

serves 4

ingredients
4 chicken breasts
2 peaches, semi-firm, cut in half
4 tablespoons maple syrup
4 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon hot sauce (or more to your liking)
i thought 1 tablespoon was perfect
1/2 teaspoon sea salt and pepper

directions

`1. mix marinade ingredients together in a shallow baking dish.
place chicken and peaches the dish and marinade for up to 24 hours before grilling.

like most marinades - the longer the better.

2. grill, pan fry, or bake at 375 degrees approximately 10-15 minutes
or until chicken is cooked through.

we made ours on the BBQ and it was delicious.
