peanut butter chocolate chip cookies

i'm really good at making huge messes in my kitchen.
my place isn't that big, and i'm just a little bit super messy,
so you can only imagine after a recipe or two
what the floor and the counters look like.

all that to say, i frequently go to marcy's house and make a mess in her kitchen too.
just to spread the love :)

this is the last thing we made in her kitchen...
too bad this is the easiest cookie recipe of all time!
(put all ingredients in a bowl and stir)

enjoy :)

recipe by emeril, brought to you by martha stewart

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1. preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. in a large bowl, combine all ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon.

3. scoop 1 heaping tablespoon of dough and roll between your hands to form a smooth ball.

place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

4. using a fork, give the dough a criss cross pattern.

5. bake cookies until lightly golden - about 10-12 minutes.

let cool and enjoy!!
