whole wheat pancakes

i love the promise of a new day.
a new beginning, a fresh start, a renewed zest for life.
and there's no better way to start the day than with BREAKFAST!
(my absolute favorite thing in the world!)

these pancakes have become a staple at my house.
i make up a batch (which is super easy)
and then keep the batter in my fridge...
making just one pancake at a time every morning.
call me crazy - but it helps me start the day right!

YUM.

okay... the heart shaped molds are not an every day occurrence.
those are just for special occasions.

recipe via skinny taste

ingredients
2 cups whole wheat flour
4 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons sugar
2 large eggs
2 cups + 2 tablespoons fat free milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
cooking spray

directions

1. mix all dry ingredients together.
add wet ingredients to the bowl
and mix well with a spoon, until there are no more dry spots.

2. heat pan with a dot of butter or cooking spray over medium heat
(if using molds - generously grease these as well)

3. flip pancake when just done on each side.
enjoy with anything your heart desires.
(coffee, eggs & strawberries is always a good choice) :)

have a GREAT MORNING!!
