i love these PYTs for a lot of reasons.
too many to mention here.

last weekend, with the help of these friends,
i tried to perfect the 'blueberry smash'

i found a recipe for this cocktail in bon appetit,
and it seemed like an obvious choice.

ingredients
2 lemons, sliced into rounds
2 limes, sliced into rounds
1 cup fresh blueberries
1/2 cup (loosely packed) fresh mint leaves plus sprigs for garnish
1 1/2 cups vodka
3/4 cup st. germain (elderflower liqueur)
(yes, you'll need to make a special trip tot he liguer store)

directions

1. using a muddler or the handle of a wooden spoon,
coarsely mash lemon and lime slices, blueberries, and mint leaves in a large pitcher.
stir in vodka, st. germain.

2. divide drink among coupe or highball glasses, filled with ice.
garnish each drink with a mint sprig.

so......... let's just say this:
the first version of this drink was
1. delicious
2. SUPER strong

later in the weekend, i think i perfected the recipe....

christine's directions

1. in large tumbler, muddle blueberries and mint

2. add juice from 2 limes and 2 lemons.
add vodka, st. germain, and ice.

3. shake vigorously.

4. two options for serving...
a. pour into cocktail glass
b. pour over ice into a tall glass, add splash of soda

5. enjoy!! :)

definitely a make again.
easy for a summer party.

cheers!
